SMS Opt In/Unsubscribe Feature



Businesses are increasingly turning to marketing automation platforms to engage with their target audience effectively. However, as customer expectations and privacy concerns continue to grow, it is essential for businesses to prioritise transparency and consent. A valuable addition is the SMS opt in and unsubscribe feature.

We have updated the SMS opt in and unsubscribe features for the platform.

There is a form element, called the Phone opt in. Here's what it looks like:

When this form element is added to a form, and a contact fills the form and checks the field, they will be opted in. It also generates the following contact activity




Unsubscribe feature




Now, when a contact replies a text message with STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT to a tracked number, it generates this contact activity below:




This will unsubscribe all the phone numbers associated with that contact, not just the specific number that opted out. The account will no longer be able to send SMS messages to the unsubscribed contact from the

Moreover, the contact's phone number that was unsubscribed will also have a "No symbol" beside it as well. Here's what that looks like:
