For one reason or another, you may have accidentally activated a newsletter campaign and then realized the scheduled send date was some time in the past.

Naturally the question is, will it still go out at the time when I activate it?

The answer is: it depends on what the send date is at the time you activated your campaign.


ActiveDEMAND has a built in safety mechanism that prevents newsletter campaigns from being sent if their send date was configured to be more than 2 days in the past at the time you activate the campaign.

So, if your scheduled send date was 3 days ago and you activate the campaign, it will not go out.

However, if your scheduled send date was yesterday and you activate the campaign today, it will go out.


Summary


If you activate a newsletter campaign that has a send date that already passed, the campaign will:

- NOT go out if the scheduled send date is more than 2 days from the time you activate the campaign

- WILL go out if the scheduled send date is within the last 2 days from when you activate the campaign
